SAINT LEO, Fla.- The Georgia College & State University Women's Soccer Team (0-1-1) took a tough 2-1 loss at Saint Leo University (2-0).
Amanda Dewey (Johns Creek, Georgia) led the offense with two shots on goal leading to the lone goal of the contest for the Bobcats with the assist from classmate Morgan Amrozowicz (Dacula, Georgia). The goal today was the first of her career at GCSU. The offense had six shots coming from five different Bobcats. Three shots were on goal with two coming from the goal scorer Dewey.
Katherine Crouse (Southington, Connecticut) played the entire 90-minute contest and led the defense. She was the only other player to have a shot on goal for GCSU. Crouse was also an outstanding defensive player by putting pressure on the Lions' offense to force five wide shots. The Saint Leo offense was able to rifle 11 shots off with six being on goal. Kate Richardson (Marietta, Georgia) patrolled the goal for GCSU adding three saves to her season stats.
