Box Score CARROLLTON, Ga. –Georgia College & State University Volleyball (3-7) lost in straight sets to the University of Montevallo (6-4) Saturday, closing out the Bobcats' action at the PBC/GSC Crossover at the University of West Georgia.
The first set was the closest, a 25-23 score, followed by a 25-14 and 25-20 lines to close out the match.
Sophomore Ally Hall (Cumming) once again led the attack with nine kills, she also pulled in nine digs for a near double-double. Freshman Riese Johnson (Cumming) led the team in assists with 17, while classmate Alanis Bernis (Auburn) paced the squad with 16 digs.
With the nine kills today, Hall now has 428 in her two seasons at GCSU, passing former teammate Sarah Mangan (2021) for 10th in school history. Hall ranks 16 behind ninth place and Maggie Roper (2016).
The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. for the team's Tailgate Tour matchup against USC Aiken to start Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play.
