Bobcat Volleyball Sweeps YHC in First Conference Road Contest

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga.- Georgia College & State University Volleyball (5-7, 2-0 PBC) dominated on the road at Young Harris College (3-9, 0-1 PBC) as they picked up the 3-0 win. 

GCSU had two close sets with YHC with the first two ending in a 25-21 win and a 25-23 win respectively. The final set of the match was the best margin of the day as the Bobcats secured the sweep with a 25-15 set win. 

There weren't any Bobcats with double-digit kills but two players were knocking at the door in Ally Hall (Cumming) and Callie Miller (Allatoona). Hall led the charge with nine kills and eight digs. While Miller was right behind her with eight kills and three digs. Hall also added three service aces to lead the team. 

Also on the offensive side of things senior setter Emily Long (Mooresville, North Carolina) led the squad with 16 assists to account for half of the team's total. Riese Johnson (Cumming) added 13 assists. 

The Bobcat defense was a wall at the net encompassing 16 total blocks. Middle Brooke Roberts (Rome) made her presence known, leading the team with seven total blocks. Right sides Miller and Camryn Carlton (Buford) both added three apiece for the second most on the team. Roberts and Carlton added six kills and five kills respectively to round out an outstanding team performance.
