YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University Volleyball squad (6-7, 3-0 PBC) is the only team left undefeated in Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play Saturday after toppling Young Harris College (3-10, 0-2 PBC) in four sets on the road.

The Bobcats dropped the first set 27-25, then rallied by sweeping the next three: 25-19, 25-19, 25-11.

"This has been a great weekend for the Bobcats," said head coach Gretchen Krumdieck. "Picking up two road wins is always difficult. We had another balanced attack to help us close out today's match."

The attack put up big numbers today, with three reaching double digits in kills. Graduate student Rachel Machovec (Buckhead) tallied 14 to lead the way, adding 10 digs for her first double-double in a Bobcat uniform. Sophomore Ally Hall (Cumming) was one tick behind with 13 kills, adding 13 digs as well for her second double-double this season.

Junior Callie Miller (Acworth) had 10 kills, and freshman Camryn Carlton (Buford) nearly joined the group with nine. Senior setter Emily Long (Mooresville, North Carolina) tallied another 24 assists, paired with freshman Riese Johnson (Cumming) at 17. Long added 10 digs, the third Bobcat double-dip. Freshman Alanis Bernis (Auburn) led the defense with 16 digs, while Miller led the blocking with seven.

The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m., traveling to Augusta University.
