MORROW, Ga.- Georgia College & State University Soccer (4-4-2, 3-1-1 PBC) tied with Clayton State University (0-6-2, 0-3-2 PBC) 1-1, Wednesday night.
The Bobcat offense came out firing as they had a total of 13 shots through 90 minutes with eight on goal. Morgan Amrozowicz (Dacula) led the shooting with four shots and two on goal. Ava Martin (Gainesville) had the lone goal of the game coming in the first two minutes of the second half. Martin got the cross inside the 18-yard box from Amanda Dewey (Johns Creek) and was able to secure the ball near the goalkeeper and finesse her way to a goal.
The Bobcat defense had a great contest as they only allowed single digit shots with six. Five of those were shots on goal allowing the senior goalkeeper Kate Richardson (Marietta) to snag four saves.
The Bobcats are back in action on the road at Albany State University (0-7, 0-4 PBC) on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
