MARS HILL, N.C.- Georgia College & State University Volleyball (3-3) took a tough three set loss to Mars Hill University (3-0), Saturday. 

Right side Callie Miller (Allatoona, Ga.) led the Bobcat offense with nine kills in the three set contest. Miller also added two digs and a block to her box score. Brooke Roberts (Rome, Ga.) had the highest hitting percentage on the match at .667 and six kills.  

Senior setter Emily Long (Mooresville) led the squad in assists with 19. Riese Johnson (Cumming, Ga.) added 16 assists to the squads total. 

The Bobcat defense had a busy day as they had a combined total of 51 digs. Ally Hall (Cumming, Ga.) led the squad with 16 and Alanis Bernis (Auburn, Ga.) added 14. 

GCSU had a total of 40 kills through three sets. They had 14 in both the first and second sets and 12 in the final set. 

The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday Sept. 6 on the road at Emmanuel College (1-5). The first serve is set for 6 p.m. with live stats and broadcast links available at GCBobcats.com.
