Bobcats picked to finish eighth in PBC race

AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University has been selected to finish in eighth place in the Peach Belt Conference in a poll of the league's men's basketball head coaches.

The University of North Georgia was selected first in the poll with 76 points and five first-place votes, two points better than the University of South Carolina, who had 74 points and four first-place nods. Augusta University got the other first-place vote and collected 66 points.

Lander University was picked fourth with 57 and was followed by Flagler College (46), Columbus State University (43), Georgia Southwestern State University (30), GCSU (25), Clayton State University (24) and the University of South Carolina-Beaufort (9).

The Bobcats open their 2023-24 season Nov. 11 with a 1:30 p.m. contest against Limestone University in Dahlonega, Georgia.
