Brendan Rigsbee nabbed two Players of the Week honors Monday (Nov. 20).
The redshirt sophomore guard from Suwanee, Georgia, was named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week by the Peach Belt Conference and was also named the GCSU Zaxby's Player of the Week.
Rigsbee averaged 19.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in two wins last week for the Bobcats, who improved to 4-0 on the season. He tied his career high with 25points in the 97-92 road win over Saint Leo University on 10-of-13 shooting from the floor to go along with six rebounds, three blocks and three assists. Rigsbee added 14 points with six rebounds, five assists and two steals in GCSU's 86-80 triumph over the University of Tampa.
Rigsbee is ranked 14th in the PBC in scoring (16.3), 10th in rebounding (7.0), seventh in assists (3.8), 11th in blocks (1.0), and 18th in field goal percentage (.455).
The Bobcats, who are ranked No. 9 in the latest Division II College Sports Communicators Southeast Region Media Poll, returns to the court Tuesday (Nov. 21) when they travel to Fort Valley, Georgia, for a 7:30 p.m. contest against Fort Valley State University.
