GCSU athletics announces fourth annual Day of Giving Dec. 5

11/30/2023 11:55:00 AM

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | The Georgia College & State University Department of Athletics has designated Tuesday (Dec. 5) as its fourth annual Day of Giving.

Donors are encouraged to make a gift, of any size, directly to the GCSU athletics team of their choosing. One hundred percent of every gift goes directly to the program and benefits the student-athletes experience.

"Our student-athletes work hard to balance academics and athletics every day," said Director of Athletics Wendell Staton. "The Day of Giving is a chance for the community to support their commitment and dedication. Gifts made today will have an immediate impact on current programs and help set up future generations of Bobcat student-athletes for success."

The GCSU Athletics Day of Giving netted over $73,000 from 349 donors last year. The department is working towards a donor goal of 600 individuals this year.

Gifts can be made online at www.alumni.gcsu.edu/ADOG23. You can designate your gift directly to the sport of your choosing or to Athletics Support. Each transaction can have up to five different sport destinations.

"On behalf of our student-athletes, coaches and staff, thank you for considering a gift for this year's Day of Giving," said Staton. "Your generosity helps provide our Bobcats with the resources and support needed to succeed on the field and in the classroom."
