MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Malachi Rhodes scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Auburn University at Montgomery past Georgia College & State University 80-56 Wednesday (Dec. 19) afternoon at the AUM Athletics Complex.
The Warhawks improved to 4-7, while the Bobcats fell to 7-2. GCSU now breaks for the holiday and will face Young Harris College Dec. 30 in a 3 p.m. game in Young Harris, Georgia.
AUM, which led by as many as 30 points, led for all but four minutes as Georgia College struggled from long distance, hitting just one of 22 attempts from three-point range.Â
Brendan Rigsbee and
Adrian Cohen led the Bobcats with 10 points each.
Austin Sloan added nine points, while
Najhae Colón tossed in eight more.
Richard Crawford III led GCSU with seven rebounds, while Sloan and
Brady Spence each contributed five.
