ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- Georgia College & State University Men's Basketball (7-13, 3-8, PBC) completes the 89-88 upset bid over Flagler College (11-11, 5-6 PBC) on two last-second free-throws from Brendan Rigsbee (Suwanee, Georgia), Wednesday.

The Bobcats started the game with a three-point bucket from Brandon Thomas (McDonough, Georgia) for the first lead of the game. GCSU only lost the first-half lead for 19 seconds then tied the game on a two-point jumper from Rigsbee. Richard Crawford III (Evans, Georgia) put the Bobcats back in front as he iced a three-point basket. GCSU continued to lead the Saints through the first 20 minutes and went into the half up 46-44.

FC struck first in the second half to knot the game at 46. The lead went back and forth for the entirety of the remainder of the contest. The game got interesting with 10 seconds to go as the Saints banked a bucket from behind the arc to give them the 88-87 lead. Rigsbee got the ball and charged the hoop and drew the foul to bring him to the free-throw stripe. He nailed both shots to give the Bobcats the 89-88 lead with 1.1 seconds left to ultimately win the game.

Georgia College had a hot offensive contest with four double-digit scorers. Austin Sloan (Warner Robins, Georgia) iced his career high of 24 points to lead the offense. Sloan went 8-for-11 shooting an impressive 6-for-9 from behind the arc. He also shot 100% from the free-throw line. Rigsbee was the squad's second-leading scorer knocking down 18 points and going 8-for-12 from field goal range. He also went 100% from the free-throw line which included his game-winning shots. Crawford was right behind Rigsbee in points nailing 16 points as the team's third-leading scorer. Crawford nailed five field goals including three from behind the arc. Chapin Rierson (Calhoun, Georgia) rounded out the double-digit scoring 11 points on the night. Rierson only missed two shots on the night going 4-for-6 from the floor and 3-for-5 from three-point range.

Not only was Sloan the leading scorer but he led the team in rebounds barely missing the double-double mark by a single rebound. Sloan nabbed seven rebounds under the Saints' basket and two under the Bobcat's basket. Rigsbee was the squad second leading rebounder with seven as he nabbed six under the Flagler basket.
