ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- Georgia College & State University Baseball (3-7, 2-0 PBC) keeps Flagler College (0-11, 0-5 PBC) winless on the season with a dominant 12-3 victory, Saturday.
The Bobcats struck first scoring two runs in the first inning. Baylin Moore (Albany, Georgia) got the first RBI of the day on a ground out to bring a run across. Palmer Sapp (Dawsonville, Georgia) plated the next run on a solid single to right field.
GCSU wouldn't score again until the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Trevor Knowles (Folkston, Georgia) to plate the third run. Ben Tuten (Bristol, Georgia) rifled a single up the middle to plate the fourth run of the game. Moore picked up his second RBI of the day this time on a single through the left side.
The big bat of Matthew Chester (Evans, Georgia) drove a solo moonshot over the left-center wall for the only run of the sixth inning.
In the seventh inning, the Bobcats plated five more runs. The first one came on a right-field single by Chester. The next two came on a double down the right-field line from Dominicc Arienzo (Madison, Georgia). Knowles and Tuten would pick up another RBI apiece on a sacrifice fly and a fielder's choice.
Chester wrapped up the game for the Bobcats with his third RBI of the game on a single up the middle. He highlighted the offense going 4-for-5 with three RBI.
Luc Scudellari (Suwanee, Georgia) picked up his first win in the circle with his start. He allowed no runs and picked up six strikeouts in his four innings of work.
