OXFORD, Ala. - The Georgia College & State University women's cross country team opened their 2023 season Friday (Sept. 1) evening at the Foothills Invitational hosted by Jacksonville State University.
The Bobcats finished in 10th place out of 27 teams with 280 points that was won by Division I's Auburn University.
The top Bobcat finisher on the 4K course in Choccolocco Park was Jillian Muncus, who finished in 44th place with a 15:53.2 time. Teammate Calli Crawford posted a top-50 time as she came in 50th with a time of 16:05.1. Emma Segars was close behind in 56th place (16:14.2). Two-time All-Peach Belt Conference performer Anna Agi was 69th (16:33.5), while Emily Wright was 84th (16:53.3). Kylee Geveke recorded a 91st-place finish (17:07.0) and was followed by Alivia Blanton (101st, 17:18.0), Jenny Goodwin (124th, 18:14.2) and Kendall Hackett (140th, 19:14.8).
Georgia College returns to the course Sept. 16 when they compete in the Julius Johnson Invitational hosted by Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.
