MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Lander University recorded a 25-11, 25-12 and 25-18 Peach Belt Conference volleyball victory over Georgia College & State University to spoil Family Weekend Saturday (Nov. 2) afternoon at the Centennial Center.
The Bearcats improved to 16-4 overall and to 4-1 in the Peach Belt, while the Bobcats slipped to 8-16 and remained winless in six tries in the PBC. GCSU returns to action Monday (Nov. 4) with a 6 p.m. non-conference match against Emmanuel (Ga.) University in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
Sarah Pipping and
Camryn Carlton led the way with eight kills apiece for the Bobcats.
Sadie Parkerson tallied eight assists, while
Riese Johnson collected seven.
Alanis Bernis tallied 12 digs, while Johnson had eight.
Hayley Shepherd and
Nya Warren posted two total blocks each.
