MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Erskine College claimed a 5-2 women's tennis victory over Georgia College & State University Saturday (March 2) afternoon at the Centennial Center Tennis Courts.
The Flying Fleet improved to 6-2, while the Bobcats fell to 6-6. GCSU travels to Columbus, Georgia, for a 2 p.m. match against the University of Montevallo.
Erskine recorded the doubles point as they won each of the three doubles matches by identical 6-4 scores. The Fleet won four of the six singles matches to earn the win.
Ashton Morrison and
Shradha Chhabra posted the two GCSU wins. Morrison won a tight three-set match - dropping the first set 6-2 before winning the next two sets 6-0, 6-3 - at No. 4. Chhabra won a straight set 6-4, 6-2 decision at No. 6.
