MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | No. 4-seeded Georgia College & State University fell to No. 5-seeded Flagler College 1-0 in a quarterfinal match of the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Women's Soccer Tournament Saturday (Nov. 8) afternoon at the Bobcat Soccer Field.
The Saints improved to 10-6-3 and will face No. 1 seed University of North Georgia in the semifinals Wednesday (Nov. 12). The Bobcats fell to 7-7-4 to end their 2025 campaign.
Flagler was able to score the only goal of the contest at the 15:39 mark in the game, as the Saints' Brooke Rienecker put the ball just past the GCSU keeper off a Haley Stafford corner kick from the left side.
The teams each recorded 12 shots, while Flagler held a 5-4 edge on goal.
Sarah Mason and Lillie Sheffield each contributed three shots for the Bobcats, while Abbey Eison had two, and Kaisa Fagerström, Ellie Fuller, Lauren Dozier, and Kate Phillips each had a shot. Two of Mason's shots were on goal, with one of Eison's on goal and Fuller's shot was also on goal.
GCSU had a 6-3 advantage on corner kicks, while Ella Hayes had four save in goal for the Bobcats.
