Divina Checo has been named the Player of the Week by the Peach Belt Conference.
Checo, a senior second baseman from Marietta, Georgia, hit .462 (6-of-13) over five games last week, including .500 in three games against Augusta University with two home runs, two triples, a double and four RBI. Checo compiled a 1.308 slugging percentage on the week. She became the first player since 2023 with two triples in a game and tied a PBC record as she went 2-for-3 with two triples in the opener in Augusta. Checo doubled and homered in game two and homered again in game three. Checo leads the Bobcats with six home runs on the season and is second in slugging percentage (.594).
The Bobcats return to action Tuesday (April 1) with a 2 p.m. doubleheader in Franklin Springs, Georgia, where they will face Emmanuel (Ga.) University.
