2025 PBC Softball Tournament Bracket

GCSU earns No. 2 seed, will face Georgia Southwestern in PBC Tournament

AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University has qualified as the No. 2 seed for the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Softball Tournament that will begin play Friday (May 2).

It is the highest seed for the Bobcats (23-23 overall, 14-10 PBC) since GCSU earned the No. 2 seed in the 2018 tournament.

The single-elimination tournament will be hosted by top seed University of North Georgia at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park in Dahlonega, Georgia, Friday (May 2) through Sunday (May 4). The tournament winner will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Softball Tournament. 

GCSU will kick off the tournament will an 11 a.m. quarterfinal game Friday (May 2) against No. 7 Georgia Southwestern State University (24-25, 10-14).  The other quarterfinal contests will feature No. 3 Flagler College (31-19, 14-10) against No. 6 Columbus State University (32-24, 11-13) at 1:30 p.m., No. 1 North Georgia (40-11, 19-5) against the University of South Carolina-Beaufort (29-23, 8-16)  at 4 p.m., and No. 4 University of South Carolina-Aiken (28-24, 13-11) against No. 5 seed Lander University (24-24, 12-12)  at 6:30 p.m.

The semifinals are set for noon and 2:30 p.m. Saturday (May 3) and the champions game is scheduled for noon Sunday (May 4).

Tickets are $10 per person and must be purchased online in advance at https://peachbeltconference.org/sports/2020/10/14/tickets.aspx. Tickets will be available to be purchased beginning Wednesday (April 30). Children ages five and under, and students with a valid ID from a PBC school are admitted free.

All games of the PBC Tournament will be available via pay-per-view. The cost of the pay-per-view is $10 per game and there will be an option for an all-tournament pass.

Friday's games:
Game 1 - No. 7 seed Georgia Southwestern State vs. No. 2 seed GCSU, 11 a.m. (loser eliminated)
Game 2 - No. 6 seed Columbus State vs. No. 3 seed Flagler, 1:30 p.m. (loser eliminated)
Game 3 - No. 8 seed USC Beaufort at No. 1 seed North Georgia, 4 p.m. (loser eliminated)
Game 4 - No. 5 seed Lander vs. No. 4 seed USC Aiken, 6:30 p.m. (loser eliminated)

Saturday's games:
Game 5 - Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2, Noon (loser eliminated)
Game 6 - Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4, 2:30 p.m. (loser eliminated)

Sunday's games
Game 7 - Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 6, Noon
