Kam Caldwell has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II All-Southeast Region second team.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's eight regions with first and second-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated their student-athletes and voted for the teams. All the honorees are now eligible for selection to the 2025 NFCA Division II All-America squads.
Caldwell, a senior from Athens, Georgia, led the Bobcats in just about every offensive category. Caldwell, who was named to the 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Player of the Year Watchlist, hit .401 (65-of-162) in 47 starts with 37 runs scored, 20 doubles, five triples, three home runs, and 38 RBI. The 2025 Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year and All-PBC first team honoree had eight stolen bases with a .642 slugging percentage and a .462 on-base percentage. She is first in the Peach Belt in doubles and doubles per game (0.43), fourth in triples and triples per game (0.11), fifth in hits, sixth in batting average and eighth in total bases (105). She is also ranked fifth in NCAA Division II stats in doubles and sixth in doubles per game. Caldwell, who led the Bobcats in multi-hit (19) and multi-RBI (12) games as well as the longest hitting streak (16) this season.
GCSU finished the 2025 season with a 23-24 overall record and in second place in the Peach Belt with a 14-10 mark.
