ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. | Cam James and
Gabe Bolden each scored 14 points, but it wasn't enough as Georgia College & State University fell to Flagler College 75-57 in the regular-season Peach Belt Conference men's basketball finale Saturday (Feb. 28) afternoon at the Flagler Gymnasium.
The Bobcats fell to 16-12 overall and to 11-9 in the PBC, while the Saints improved to 17-11 and 11-9. Both teams have advanced to the PBC Tournament which begins Wednesday (March 4). Pairings for the tournament will be released Sunday (March 1) evening.
GCSU opened up a 7-4 lead on a
Mason Etter jumper with 15:21 remaining in the opening half, but Flagler responded with a 22-2 run over the next 10 minutes as the Saints took a 26-9 lead on a Rahdir Hicks layup.
James added seven rebounds for the Bobcats.
