MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University men's and women's cross country coach Alexander Bruno has released the upcoming 2026 schedule for the Bobcats.

"Our schedule this fall takes us to some of the best courses in the region which always attract top teams," said Bruno. "We will rely on our veteran leaders to guide a very talented group of underclassmen through the regular season. Our expectations are high for what this group can accomplish throughout the championship segment of our schedule."

The Bobcats open their 2026 schedule Sept. 5 when they travel to Macon, Georgia, to take part in the Julius Johnson Invitational that will be held on the Georgia Premier Cross Course. It will be the first of three meets that GCSU will compete on that course.

GCSU will travel to Charlotte, North Carolina, Sept. 11 for the Queens City Invitational hosted by Queens University of Charlotte at the McAlpine Creek Park. The Bobcats return back to the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course Sept. 25 to take part in the Peach Belt Conference Preview hosted by Middle Georgia State University.

GCSU returns to action two weeks later Oct. 9 when they host its Bobcat Invitational presented by Chick-fil-A of Middle Georgia on the University's West Campus cross country course. The women's 5K race begins at 5 p.m. followed by the men's 8K at 6 p.m.

Two weeks later, GCSU will travel to Huntsville, Alabama, for its final meet of the regular season and take part in the UAH Chargers Cross Country Invitational Oct. 24. The meet hosted by the University of Alabama in Huntsville will be held at John Hunt Park.

The postseason for the Bobcats gets underway Nov. 7 when they will compete in the PBC Championships in Macon, Georgia, at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course. GCSU finished third in the men's race a year ago, while the women finished fourth. GCSU will travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina, Nov. 21 for the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championships that will be held at the Milliken Research Park.
