O'Brien tabbed as league's Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University's Erin O'Brien has been named the Peach Belt Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week ending Sept. 13.

O'Brien, a sophomore from Jefferson, Georgia, was the top GCSU runner at the Queen City Invitational Friday (Sept. 11) as she came 35th place overall with an 5K time of 18.49.8, helping the Bobcats to a eighth-place finish out of 27 teams in the meet. O'Brien's result is the second fastest 5K time in the PBC this season and is the sixth-fastest 5K in GCSU women's cross country program history.

GCSU returns to action Sept. 25 when they compete at the Peach Belt Conference Preview hosted by Middle Georgia State University in Macon, Georgia, at 9 a.m.
