Kearney named the latest Zaxbys Player of the Week

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University women's cross country runner Kaela Kearney has been named the Zaxbys Player of the Week.

Kearney, a freshman from Jasper, Georgia,  was the top runner for the Bobcats Saturday (Sept. 5) with a time of 21.27.5 on the 5K layout on the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course to finish in 12th place at the MGA/Julius Johnson Invitational hosted by Mercer University. Kearney helped the Bobcats to a third-place finish at the meet.

GCSU returns to action Friday (Sept. 11) at 6 p.m. when they compete in the Queens City Invitational in Charlotte, North Carolina.
