AUGUSTA, Ga. | The Peach Belt Conference preseason coaches poll for women's basketball has been released.
 
Georgia College & State University has been picked to finish sixth in the league. The Bobcats finished tied for sixth place in the conference last season and advanced to the championship game of the PBC Tournament.
 
Augusta University, which won the PBC Tournament for first time in 33 years, was the top pick in the poll as they collected seven first-place votes and 95 points, while the University of North Georgia collected a first-place vote and was second with 86 points. Columbus State University, which won the PBC regular-season title, is in third place with two first-place votes and 83 points and was followed by the University of South Carolina-Beaufort (81), which received the other first-place vote, Middle Georgia State University (65), GCSU (42), Clayton State University (36), Flagler College (35), Georgia Southwestern State University (31), Lander University (29) and the University of South Carolina-Aiken (22).  

GCSU tips off its 2026-27 season Nov. 13 when they entertain Young Harris College in a 5:30 p.m. game inside the Centennial Center on the first day of the Bobcat Crossover Classic presented by Garbutt Construction.
