DAHLONEGA, Ga. | The Georgia College & State University men's golf team wrapped up play at Lake Laker Collegiate hosted by the University of North Georgia Tuesday (Sept. 22).

The Bobcats finished up a delayed second round with a 281 score and followed that up with a round of 291 to finished the 54-hole tournament with a score of 861, good for 14th place. No. 14 North Georgia won the tournament with a score of 806, 10 strokes better than No. 8 Lincoln Memorial University. Twelve teams in the tournament were either ranked or receiving votes in the Bushnell/Golfweek Top 25 poll.

Ty Willoughby, who played as an individual for the Bobcats, shot rounds of two-under par 68 and a two-over par 72 on the par 70, 6,915-yard layout on the Achasta Golf Club to finish in a tie for 13th place at 206 (4-under par). Mason Pate, Andrew Lutjens and Chase Blanton each finished in a tie for 52nd place at 216. Pate had rounds of 65 and 77, while Lutjens had back-to-back rounds of 71 and Blanton had scorecards of 71 and 75. Brady Schnaible posted scores of 75 and 73 to shoot 219 and finish in a tie for 64th, while Andy Scott finished in a tie for 70th at 220 after a 74 and a 72.

The Bobcats return action in two weeks when they travel to Albany, Georgia, to take part in the Hurricane Invitational Oct. 5.
