MACON, Ga. | The Georgia College & State University women's cross country team finished in third place at the Peach Belt Conference Preview meet hosted by Middle Georgia State University Friday (Sept. 25) evening at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course.
The Bobcats, who are ranked eighth regionally, finished with 37 points. University of North Georgia won the meet with 37 points, three more than the University of South Carolina-Aiken.
Lauren Thisdale was the top Bobcat in the field as she finished fifth on the 5K course with a time of 20.45.6.
Ana Miller (7th, 20.51.1) andÂ
Madeline Harron (8th, 20.55.4) also recorded top-10 finishes for GCSU.
Lily Flood finished in 13th place with an effort of 21.53.8 and was followed by
Paxton Kirby (14th, 22.00.9),
Sadie Edris (15th, 22.04.8),
Maddie Reese Smith (17th, 22.35.6),
Izzy Hall (18th, 22.36.8) and
Campbell Smith (22nd, 22.56.5).
The Bobcats return to action next Friday (Oct. 2) when they take part in the Georgia Tech Cross Country Invitational at 9:20 a.m. in Douglasville, Georgia.
