Hubbard, a 6-foot point guard, comes to Georgia College fromCarl Sandburg College in Carthage, Ill. The Chargers won theirfirst Region IV District A Tournament in 2014 to advance to theNJCAA Division II National Tournament for the first time in programhistory.
"Juwan is a great addition to our program," said Sellers. "Wesaw him play at the NJCAA Tournament in Danville. He has theability to get to the rim and finish with contact and alsopossesses a nice 15-foot jumper. Juwan will also contribute withrebounds and defend well from the point guard position. We feltlike the point guard position was our top priority in therecruiting process."
Hubbard averaged 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.6steals per game as a sophomore. In addition, he led the NJCAA(Division II) in free throw attempts (303) this past season. CSCfinished its season 18-16 under head coach Ryan Twaddle.
