Evie DePetro is in her first season as an assistant coach for Georgia College & State University women's basketball program.
After playing four seasons at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, DePetro played her final season in 2024-25 at GCSU. She played in all 30 games, starting 17. DePetro helped lead the Bobcats to a 17-13 record, a fourth-place finish in the Peach Belt Conference and to the semifinals of the PBC Tournament for first time in 14 years. She was third on the team in scoring, averaging 8.8 points per game. She was the top outside threat for the Bobcats, connecting on 49 three-pointers. DePetro also grabbed 50 rebounds, 15 assists, and 10 steals.
After her playing career, she spent last year as a volunteer coach for the Bobcats and was a graduate teaching assistant in the biological and environmental sciences department. DePetro earned her master's degree in biology from GCSU in May 2026. She had earned her bachelor's degree in biomedical science and communication studies.
