Ross Jolly begins has completed four seasons at the helm of the Bobcat Women's Basketball program. His win total ranks third in program history.

The 2022-23 campaign was a breakthrough effort for Jolly's Bobcats, going 15-13 overall and qualifying for the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament for the first time since 2018-19 and compiling the most single-season victories since 2017-18. GCSU posted a six-game win streak to start the year, and the Bobcats posted a school-record four student-athletes on the CSC Academic All-District Team.

In 2021-22, the Bobcats posted eight victories, including a win over then-No. 15 Valdosta State on the road. Ashyia Willis was named PBC Freshman of the Year.

The abbreviated 2020-21 season was highlighted by the first All-Peach Belt honoree for Coach Jolly, as Harper Vick earned a spot on the Third Team.

The Bobcats battled through key injuries and other adjustments in their first season with Coach Jolly. The first victory for the Jolly-led GC Women came Nov. 16, 2019 against Chowan at a tournament in Dahlonega. The Bobcats started 3-1 at home on the season with wins over Albany State, West Alabama and Flagler. In the 2019-20 season the Bobcats displayed discapline, finishing first in Division II in fewest fouls, and fifth in the Peach Belt in scoring defense.

Jolly joined Bobcat Nation after spending the last three seasons as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Division I Radford University in Radford, Virginia.

In his role with the Highlanders, Jolly served as the scouting coordinator. His other duties involved post-player development, recruiting and academics.

Radford put together one of the greatest campaigns in school history in 2018-19, going 26-6 overall and 17-1 in Big South play to clinch the regular season title and the top seed in the Big South Tournament. The Highlanders would go on to win the Big South Championship and earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 23 years.

Jolly came to Radford following three seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at North Greenville University. In his time with the Crusaders, Jolly coached five all-conference performers, including the 2015 Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year.

Prior to North Greenville, Jolly spent one season on the sidelines at Division I UNC Wilmington and a year at Tusculum College. He helped lead the Pioneers to a 17-11 record and an NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in 2012.

He becomes the seventh head coach in GC Women's Basketball history, filling the vacancy left by Maurice Smith's departure to Flagler College.

A native of Sparta, Tennessee, Jolly earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in 2011.

Jolly comes from a rich basketball family as his sister, Kellie Harper, is a three-time national champion at Tennessee under hall-of-fame coach Pat Summitt and was hired as the newest head coach of the Tennessee Lady Vols in April 2019. His brother, Brent, is a former assistant coach with the men's program at Chattanooga.
