#18 Men's Tennis Downs Concord, 9-0

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College men's tennis team (8-3) took on the visiting Concord University Mountain Lions (2-5) Wednesday as the Bobcats came away with a swift 9-0 victory at the Centennial Center Tennis Facility.

Johan Wadstein (Helsingborg, Sweden) and Yannick Hass (Troisdorf, Germany) won their second-straight doubles match, as the duo played together for just the fourth time. The Bobcats took on Diogo Monteiro and Danny Fonrondona and finished with an 8-2 victory.

Taylor Powell (Martinez, Ga.) and Alex Schubert (Frankfurt, Germany) blanked Henry Boyle and Daniel Contente in the No. 2 position 8-0. Powell and Schubert earned their 10th doubles victory of the season in just11 matches.

Wictor Andersson (Karlskoga, Sweden) and Andreas Ainalides (Heusenstamm, Germany) took away their third doubles victory in just four matches together as the Bobcat pair topped Matt Holliday and Bill Wright 8-2

The No. 47 ranked Wadstein came away with his seventh win of the season, finishing 6-0, 6-0 against Monteiro.

Hass, playing in the No. 2 slot for the first time this year, came away with the decisive 6-1, 6-0 victory over Boyle.

Schubert earned his seventh win of the season, downing Fonrondona 6-3, 6-4. Mattia Campus (Rome, Italy) won his fourth-straight match with the 6-0, 6-0 victory over Contente.

Andersson took down Wright 6-2, 6-0 while Powell came away with his fourth win in five matches as he topped Holliday 6-1, 6-0.

Men's tennis will be back in action Thursday, March 14 at 3:30 p.m. when they travel to take on Peach Belt Conference (PBC) foe Young Harris College.
