MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women's soccer team (2-4-1, 0-2 PBC) hosted a White Out at Bobcat Field Wednesday evening as they took on Lander University (4-0-1, 2-0 PBC). The Bobcats were shut-out by the Bearcats 2-0.

The Bobcats made a solid defensive stand for the first 30 minutes of play. Unfortunately, the Bearcats continued to chip away, and Alexis Rogers scored the first goal of the match in the 43rd minute.  Georgia College committed a foul in the top of the box, which led to a free kick. Mid-way through the second half, midfielder Casey Black tapped in the second goal of the contest from deep inside the box on a broken clear. It was the second goal of the year for both Bearcats.

Senior Annie Stephens (Fayetteville) added three saves to her career total, giving her 178.

Tonight's match marks the first loss for the Bobcats at home since Oct. 3, 2013. Since then the Bobcats have played in five matches at Bobcat Field posting a 3-0-2 record.

The Bobcats will travel to No. 19 University of North Georgia Saturday, Sept. 27 for a 3 p.m. match.
