Bobcats Get Back on Track with a Victory over Auburn-Montgomery

Box Score

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Georgia College Soccer (4-3-1, 1-3 PBC) earned its fourth victory today over the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks (4-4-1), 2-0.

Junior forward Amanda Bartholomew (Peachtree City, Georgia) had a big day for the Bobcats picking up her second goal of the year along with her second assist.  Bartholomew scored when she received a long through ball from junior Sarah Miller (Duluth, Georgia), then chipped a wonderful ball over the keeper in the 43rd minute to give the Bobcats a 1-0 heading into half.  Miller was credited with her second assist of the 2016 season.

Bartholomew picked up her second assist of the year when she fed senior Maddie Stephen (Norcross, Georgia) for her third goal of the season. Stephen received the ball and fired a shot from about 20 yards out into the upper left ninety of the net.

Sophomore keeper Ashlee Graham (Decatur, Georgia) had another nice game for the Bobcats. She kept the Warhawks scoreless Saturday afternoon while tallying a total of five saves giving her a total of 20 saves for the 2016 season.

The Bobcats hope to use this momentum as they head into a big Peach Belt Conference (PBC) matchup against Armstrong State University who currently sits at the top of the PBC standings.

The Bobcats visit the Pirates of Armstrong State this Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7 P.M.
