#10 Bobcat Men's Tennis Blanks Concord, 7-0

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.  – The No. 10 Georgia College Men's Tennis team (7-4) blitzed out-of-region opponent Concord University (W.Va.) 7-0 Tuesday, surrendering just seven total points on the day.

Concord went into the match short a player, so the teams did not compete in third doubles or sixth singles.

In second doubles, sohpomores Pedro Ecenarro (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) and Vincent Castermans (Grenoble, France) also paired up for the first time, shutting out Bill Wright and Daniel Rose.

Powell got the win in first singles over Lieder 6-1, 6-2. In the second slot, Ecenarro became the teams first double-digit singles winner this season, adding a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Cohn to improve to 10-1. The win Castermans matched that outcome in his victory over Wright, then junior Kyle Kinsler (Suwanee) stayed perfect at 3-0 in singles this season by posting the lone shutout, blanking Rose. Classmate Anton Waern (Taby, Sweden) beat Bick 6-1, 6-0 in the fifth slot.

The Bobcats move to 7-0 at home this season. GC Men's Tennis is back in action Thursday, March 17 at 2 p.m., playing host to No. 18 University of Indianapolis.
