The Bobcats never trailed in the contest, starting on the first possession when Wesley Simpson (DeLand, Florida/Union Grove HS [Ga.]) found Chris Parks (Buford) for a lay-in. YHC was able to tie the game on four occasions, but the Bobcats never trailed.

Senior Jordan Thomas (Conyers) and junior Christian Koneman (Chatsworth) shared the team lead with 17 points each. Koneman added six rebounds and went 6-of-8 from the floor. Thomas battled sub-par shooting from the field at 4-for-11 with a 7-for-8 effort at the charity stripe and a pair of threes. He added five rebounds and a trio of assists.

Parks finished with 15 points, going 7-for-8 shooting, and Simpson chipped in 10 points and a game-high six assists on the night.

Both teams shot 44% from the floor, but the Bobcats made the difference at the line, hitting 23 free throws to just 18 for the Mountain Lions. GC had just six turnovers while causing 14.
