MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- Georgia College & State University Soccer (5-7-2, 4-4-1 PBC) falls 2-1 to USC Aiken (6-3-4, 4-3-3 PBC), Wednesday night.
The Bobcats scored only their second first half goal of the season for their lone goal of the contest. Amanda Dewey (Johns Creek) picked up her third goal of the season to give the Bobcats the early lead. Dewey got the cross in the box from the veteran forward Alexis Bergamini (West Suffield, Connecticut) and was able to draw the keeper out of the goal and reach the back netting. GCSU had 10 shots with five on goal. Morgan Amrozowicz (Dacula) and Bergamini led the offense with three shots apiece.
Kate Richardson (Marietta) got the start in goal for the Bobcats and nabbed five saves to add to her already impressive season total.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Oct. 22 against Lander University for the Kick for the Cure game. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. with live stats and broadcast links available at GCBobcats.com.
