HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Georgia College & State University Men's Cross Country team took on a huge field at the UAH Chargers Cross Country Invitational Saturday, posting a pair of personal-bests in the day's action.
The Bobcats finished 37th in a 48-team field, chock full with 470 runners. The Bobcats were second among the three Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams at the race, behind Columbus State University in 27th and ahead of Clayton State University in 44th.
Tops on the team was sophomore Philip Bulatao (Brunswick, Georgia), finishing the 8K in a personal record of 25:21. That time puts Bulatao at fifth in school history, and placed him 128th in today's race.
Freshman Caleb Carter (Martinez, Georgia) crossed the line in 26:42 for 267th place. Sophomore Caiden Curtis (Harlem, Georgia) took the course in 27:08, finishing 303rd.
It was a personal record for sophomore Sam Hulsey (Dawsonville, Georgia) at 27:23 in 320th place, and freshman Evan Rehrauer (Hamilton, Georgia) rounded out the scoring in 389th at 28:31.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Nov. 5 at the PBC Championship in Augusta, Georgia.
