#32 Bobcat Women's Tennis Shuts Out Spring Hill

PEACH BELT STANDINGS

MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 32 Georgia College Women's Tennis team (9-3) swept away Spring Hill College (4-9) on the road Monday in non-conference action, 7-0.

GC got the doubles point with wins in all three slots. Emilia Richter (Berlin, Germany) and Emma Fleming (Suwanee, Georgia) beat Johanna Winkler and MaryGrace Sullivan 6-1 in the first slot. The Bobcat first doubles pair is now 9-3 on the season.

Second doubles was a shutout win for Jordan Bowie (Macon, Georgia) and Ashton Morrison (Cumming, Georgia) over Emmie Gage and Jamie Martin. Third singles followed suit with a shutout of their own, as Chiara Santoro (Santa Ursula, Spain) and Shradha Chhabra (New Delhi, India) beat Nicole Barron and Kayley Groff.

All six singles slots produced straight-set wins for GC. National No. 51 Sofia Shing (Auckland, New Zealand) beat martin in the first slot 6-4, 6-2. In second singles, national No. 21 Richter buzzed through Sullivan 6-0, 6-1. Santoro picked up a win in third singles with a pair of 6-1 sets over Winkler. Richter is now 8-3 in singles action this year.

Fleming nabbed her seventh-straight win in the fourth line, beating Barron 6-2, 6-3. Fifth singles was a shutout win for Chhabra over Groff. Bowie also provided a shutout in sixth singles over Juleah Scarlett. Fleming is a team-best 10-1 on the year.

The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday, March 22 at 3:30 p.m., traveling to Columbus State University to take on Southern Arkansas University.
