CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Georgia College & State University Men's Cross Country team took seventh at the Queen City Invitational Friday, led by sophomore Philip Bulatao (Brunswick, Georgia) with a top-25 finish.
The Bobcats had 207 points, just 15 behind North Greenville University. GCSU had an average time of 25:59.11.
Bulatao took 24th in 26:01 on the 8K course. He was flanked by freshman Evan Rehrauer (Hamilton, Georgia) in 45th place at 26:56.
Classmate Caleb Carter (Martinez, Georgia) took 54th among 130 runners, crossing the line in 27:08. Sophomore Caiden Curtis (Harlem, Georgia) placed one slot later in 27:12, and sophomore Sam Hulsey (Dawsonville, Georgia) rounded out the scoring finishes in 68th at 27:40.
Bulatao, Rehrauer, Carter and Curtis all posted personal bests in today's race, with Rehrauer shaving nearly three minutes off his last 8K time.
Milligan University won the team title, edging Anderson University by 19 points. Milligan's Aaron Jones broke the tape in 24:25.
The Bobcats are back in action on Oct. 8 hosting the 2022 Bobcat Invitational at the Council Farm Course.
