Men's cross-country team looking to start the season strong

AUGUSTA, Ga.  - The Bobcats started their fall 2022 season off with a bang. The team traveled to Augusta University to participate in the Jaguar Cross Country Invitational earlier Saturday morning.

The Bobcats placed second place in the pack of 5+ schools that participated. The Bobcats averaged a time of 28:45 during the team results of the 8k. The individual top bobcats include sophomore, Philip Bulatao (Brunswick) , who placed second overall with a time of 27:14. Caleb Carter (Martinez) came in sixth place with a time of 28:13 for his first ever collegiate run. Coming in at fourteenth and fifteenth were a pair of bobcats, Jack Sisk (Ackworth), Freshman, and sophomore Caiden Curtis (Harlem). Sisk completed the 8k in a time of 29:07 and Curtis was right behind with a time of 29:17. Four other Bobcats placed in 16th and 17th place as well as 29th and 30.

 The Bobcats will be sprinting back into action on September 23rd as they travel to Charlotte, North Carolina to participate in the Queens City Invitational hosted by Queens.

GC Athletics is now two-time winners of both the PBC Commissioner's Cup and the league's sportsmanship honor.
