GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University Women's Tennis team (14-2) ran the table on Brenau University (9-6) Wednesday on the road, winning 7-0.

GCSU picked up the doubles point, taking all three slots with 6-1 scores. In first doubles, Emma Fleming (Suwanee) teamed with Chiara Santoro (Santa Ursula, Spain) to beat Bianca Andersen and Mary Wynn Brannon.

Second doubles brought a win for Ashton Morison (Cumming) and Jada Young (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina) over Sally Brannon and Yousra Hidass. Third doubles saw Sofia Shing (Auckland, New Zealand) and Shradha Chhabra (New Delhi, India) beat Kristina Radovic and Shaloom Delgado.

Santoro got the singles results started, beating Radovic 6-2, 6-1 in the fourth slot. Next came a 6-1, 6-0 win for Fleming over Mary Wynn Brannon in third singles. Chhabra then clinched the team victory with a win on the sixth line, 6-0, 6-2 over Sally Brannon.

Young then topped Andersen in second singles 6-1, 6-2, followed by a 6-3, 6-1 win for Shing over Hidass in first singles. Morrison closed the day with a win over Delgado in fifth singles, 6-1 ,7-5.

The Bobcats are back in action Thursday, April 6 at 4 p.m., hosting Georgia Southwestern State University.
