SPRINGFIELD, MO.- Former Georgia College & State University Baseball standout Noah Mendlinger (Atlanta, Ga.) becomes regular in St. Louis Cardinals AA lineup.
Mendlinger graduated from GCSU in 2021 and signed with the Cardinals after the conclusion of the Bobcats season. At the start of May for the 2023 season he was optioned for AA affiliate the Springfield Cardinals.
Through May and June, Mendlinger has nabbed 52 hits in his 189 at bats, good for a .275 average. The lefty batter has 14 extra base hits this season which is already more than he has in the 2022 season. Of those extra base hits, Mendlinger has eight doubles and four homers. Mendlinger has been a huge factor in the run production category with his 29 RBI and 34 runs scored.
"I am so happy for Noah and all the success he is experiencing in professional baseball," said head coach Nolan Belcher. "Noah will make the most of each opportunity he gets and has been a great representative of GCSU throughout his career. Noah's high level baseball IQ and willingness to improve each day I feel has been a major factor in his on-field success and rise through the minor leagues. I wish Noah nothing but the best and hope I get to see him fulfill his dream of playing Major League Baseball."
Mendlinger also competed in the Baseball World Games for Team Israel and continues to build a name for himself at a high level of play.
