AMERICUS, Ga. | Georgia College & State University and Georgia Southwestern State University battled to a scoreless draw in a Peach Belt Conference women's soccer match Saturday (Sept. 23) evening at Hurricane Field.
The Bobcats improved to 3-2-2 overall and to 1-0-1 in the Peach Belt, while the Hurricanes slipped to 2-3-2 and 1-1-1. Georgia College steps out of conference play Wednesday (Sept. 27) when they travel to Franklin Springs, Georgia, for a 6 p.m. match against Emmanuel (Ga.) University.
The Hurricanes outshot the Bobcats 9-6, but only held a 2-1 edge on shots on goal. Georgia Southwestern doubled up Georgia College on corner kicks 6-3.
Kassidy Fortin registered her first shutout of the season as she tallied two saves.
