MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- The Georgia College & State University men's basketball team stumbled in a home Peach Belt Conference loss to Augusta University 77-61.
GCSU fell to 9-10 on the season and 2-7 in the PBC. AU improved to 10-9 overall and 3-6 in the conference. The Bobcats at back in action Saturday, Feb. 3 at 3:30 for a road contest with the University of South Carolina at Aiken.
Brendan Rigsbee led the team as the only player in double figure points with 16. He went 6-for-11 from the field while shooting 75 percent from the free throw line.
Austin Sloan was the second leading scorer with nine points on the night. Sloan iced three baskets and two free throws.
Aidan Kudlas had the third most points with eight as had a 3-for-4 night.
Brady Spence led the team in boards as the only one in double digits with 12. Spence picked up nine under the Jaguar basket. Rigsbee had the second most rebounds with five all of which came on the defensive side of the ball.
