AIKEN, S.C.- Georgia College & State University men's basketball took a tough road loss to the University of South Carolina-Aiken, 91-74.
GCSU fell to 9-11 on the season and 2-8 in Peach Belt Conference play. USCA improved to 16-4 and 7-3. The Bobcats return to the Centennial Center Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. to take on the University of North Georgia.Â
Austin Sloan led the scoring effort shooting 60 percent from the floor with a 50 percent three point percentage good for 14 points.
Richard Crawford III had an outstanding day despite the loss icing 12 points on a 4-for-5 day from long range.
Ian Davis rounded out the double digit scoring with a 10 point afternoon shooting 50 percent from field goal range. Davis also led the team in assists with six.Â
Sloan doubled as the team's rebound leader nabbing nine which included six under the Pacer basket. Aidan Kudlus and
Oscar Lynch both added three rebounds each as the second leading rebounders.Â
