ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. | Flagler College defeated Georgia College & State University in four sets Friday (Oct. 18) afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match inside Flagler Gym.
The Bobcats took the opening set 28-26 before the Saints rallied to take the final three by scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-18.
The Saints improved to 6-9 overall and 2-2 in the Peach Belt, while the Bobcats fell to 7-11 and 0-4. GCSU returns to the road Monday (Oct. 21) when go to Mars Hill, North Carolina, for a 6 p.m. non-conference match against Mars Hill University.
Sarah Pipping paced the Bobcats with 11 kills, while
Rosa Fisher contributed six kills and seven digs.
Riese Johnson and
Sadie Parkerson each distributed 10 assists, while Johnson added nine digs and Parkerson had seven digs.
Alanis Bernis led GCSU with 12 digs, while
Finley Burns collected eight more.
Brooke Roberts registered five total blocks while
Camryn Carlton had three.
