MARS HILL, N.C. | Mars Hill University picked up a four-set non-conference volleyball victory over Georgia College & State University Monday (Oct. 21) evening inside Chambers Gymnasium.
The Lions improved to 8-8 as they took the first two sets by scores of 25-18 and 25-19 before the Bobcats, who fell to 7-12, rallied to take set three 25-18. Mars Hill clinched the match with a 25-16 decision in set four.
GCSU remains on the road for a 6 p.m. match against North Greenville University in Tigerville, South Carolina, Tuesday (Oct. 22).
Camryn Carlton and
Rosa Fisher each led the Bobcats with eight kills, while
Sarah Pipping added seven more.Â
Sadie Parkerson paced GCSU with 19 assists, while
Lexi Baum distributed 10.
Alanis Bernis collected 19 digs, while Baum (15),
Cadence Spilotros (14) and
Ella Harper (11) finished with double digit digs. Spilotros led the Bobcats with four total blocks, while
Hayley Shepherd and
Brooke Roberts had three apiece.
