MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Senior
Sara Schultz's goal late in the first half was the difference as Georgia College & State University shut out Georgia Southwestern State University 1-0 in a Peach Belt Conference women's soccer match Saturday (Nov. 2) at the Bobcat Soccer Field on Senior Day.
The Bobcats improved to 8-6-3 overall and to 4-3-2 in the Peach Belt, while the Hurricanes fell to 7-7-1 and 4-4-1.
The win propels GCSU into fourth place in the league standings with one conference tilt remaining - Lander University at the University of North Georgia - Monday (Nov. 4) evening. If North Georgia wins or the match ends in a tie, the Bobcats will host a quarterfinal match Saturday (Nov. 9) in the PBC Tournament.
