Bobcats finish 13th at NCAA regionals

SPARTANBURG, S.C. | The Georgia College & State University men's cross country team finished in 13th place at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship Saturday (Nov. 9) morning that was competed at the Milliken Research Park.

Wingate University won the 29-team meet with a perfect score of 15. The Bobcats finished with a team score of 391.

The top five GCSU finishers each established new personal-best 10K times. The top runner for the Bobcats was Daniel Laird, who came in 60th place with a time of 33:06.0, while Nour Nazim was 65th with an effort of 33:17.4. Shipley Smith placed 70th with a time of 33.22.8, while Jaycob Wagner came in 90th with a time of 33:58.2. Noah Boyd was 106th with a time of 34:29.8, while Evan Rehrauer was 109th (34:40.3) and Peyton Harley was 117th (34:55.2).

This was the final event for the Bobcats in 2024.
