COLUMBUS, Ga.- Georgia College & State University Softball falls twice in final two games of the Red-White-Blue Classic with a 6-2 loss to Tuskegee University and a 9-0 loss to Columbus State University. 
GCSU fell to 3-4 on the season with TU improving to 2-3 and Columbus improving to 3-6. Georgia College returns to the Peeler Complex on Wednesday, Feb. 14 to take on Erskine College in doubleheader fashion starting at 2:00 p.m.
Game one of the day was against Tuskegee who took the contest 6-2. The Bobcats brought a single run across in both the sixth and seventh innings. 
Kam Caldwell led the inning off with a single and moved into scoring position on a stolen base. 
Samantha Wilson picked up her third RBI of the season driving in Caldwell on a fielder's choice. Caldwell pushed the second run across in the top of the seventh inning on a double in the right center gap to score 
Kacie Wiggins who reach via a double as well. 
Caldwell was the lone hitter picking up multiple hits on a 2-for-3 day with a double and two stolen bases. Wiggins and Caldwell both had doubles to account for the only multi-base hits. 
Tiffany Caban got the start and the loss in the circle for the Bobcats. Caban (1-1) had six earned runs come around on four hits in her 2.1 innings of work. 
Golden Thrower closed the game throwing three and two thirds inning with a season high four strikeouts with no runs coming around to score. 
Game two went in the favor of Columbus as the Bobcats weren't able to plate any runs in 9-0 loss. Caldwell once again highlighted the offense with a 2-for-2 game with two singles as well as picking up her eighth stolen base of the season. 
Kelsey Parlor got her first career start against the Cougars and picked up the loss. Parlor (0-1) threw a third of an inning with five runs scoring on four hits. 
Kaitlyn Anders was the first reliever pitching two and third innings with three runs scoring on five hits. Caban picked up her second appearance of the afternoon having the most effective relief effort. In her 1.1 innings of work, she only allowed one run on one hit and picked up the lone strikeout for the pitching staff in game two.
