Sloan career high leads Bobcats to 87-73 win over Clayton State

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- Georgia College & State University Men's Basketball continues four game win streak to beat Clayton State University 87-73 at home. 

GCSU improved 13-12 on the season and 6-9 in the Peach Belt Conference. CSU fell to 7-18 overall and 3-12 in the PBC. The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. on the road at Georgia Southwestern State University. 

Georgia College nabbed an almost unreachable lead out scoring the Lakers 46-22 in the first 20 minutes of play. Clayton State tried to make a second half come back with 51 points compared to the 41 the Bobcats scored. 

Austin Sloan iced his career high this evening scoring 25 points to lead the GCSU scoring. Sloan went 10-for-13 from the field and 4-for-7 from behind the three point line. Brendan Rigsbee was the teams second leading scorer with 14 points on seven field goals. Brady Spence was right behind him with 13 points going 5-for-9 from the field and the free throw line. Luke Chism rounded out the double digit scorers with 10 points. Rigsbee led the team in assists with five. 

Spence lead the Bobcats in rebounds nabbing 14 on the evening. A whopping nine came on the defensive side of the ball. Sloan had the second most with six and Rigsbee added five.
